Introduction

The XXVIII Convention of Production Engineering (ENEGEP) is a national event organized by the ABEPRO - Brazilian Association of Production Engineering. Its aim is to unite the academic community, researchers, professors and students but also executives, consultants, engineers, administrators and other professionals active in Production Engineering.
It consists of one of the principal promoters of technical and scientific production in the field and functions as a discussion forum for relevant questions on Production Engineering. Besides that it promotes the integration and exchange of academic knowledge with the productive sector. Doing so, the ENEGEP turns into a unique opportunity to interact for those that are active in this area that is so crucial for development.
